As part of our ongoing commitment to community engagement, we’re happy to share this opportunity for Sunnyside students to get involved in something positive.
The Sunnyside Youth Coalition is holding its first meeting on October 15 after school in Room 118. This initiative encourages local youth to take an active role in shaping the future of our community by focusing on leadership, prevention, and positive impact.
The Youth Coalition aims to:
- Empower youth voice and leadership
- Promote prevention and healthy choices
- Create community impact and positive change
A coalition is when two or more people or groups come together to do something they couldn’t do as well alone — and this coalition is all about collaboration, community, and creating lasting change.
Whether you’re a student looking to get involved or a parent who wants to support youth leadership, this is a great opportunity to see young people taking initiative to make Sunnyside stronger.
